Las Vegas - Vlingo, a provider of voice-powered mobile phone applications, announced on Wednesday that it has raised a $20 million second round of financing, led by Yahoo (NASD: YHOO), which will also offer Vlingo's voice-powered technology on its mobile oneSearch service.

Previous backers Charles River Ventures and Sigma Partners also participated in the investment round.

Founded in 2006, Cambridge, Mass.-based Vlingo's technology allows users to speak their search queries instead of typing them, "without having to use constrained language choices."

The new Vlingo-powered, voice-enabled Yahoo oneSearch service is initially available for select U.S. BlackBerry users, but is expected to support additional devices and become available internationally.

The company will use the new funds to fuel international expansion and continue its product research and development.
