Emeryville, Calif. - Yardbarker, an online sports community and branded vertical ad network, announced on Thursday that it has raised $6 million in its second round of funding, led by Draper Fisher Jurvetson.

Previous investors Russ Siegelman, Ronnie Lott, Jarl Mohn, Labrador Ventures, Baseline Ventures and others also participated.

Emeryville, Calif.-based Yardbarker operates a community of sports fans and celebrity athlete bloggers, which includes Donovan McNabb, Baron Davis, Dontrelle Willis and Greg Oden.

The company said that its Yardbarker Network of 300 independent sports sites drew a combined more than 6 million unique users in February.

Yardbarker will use the funds to expand its engineering and sales teams.
