Lead manager for new customer relationship development for the new media group. Acts as the first point of contact between a potential licensee and BMI. Participates on the team overseeing the future development and maintenance of the Digital Licensing Center and proposes enhancements and improvements to help make the service more effective. Closes business and generates incremental licensing revenue. Maintains inherent licensing revenue base. Develops contact databases. Recommends new license types to meet market needs. Ensures that service level to licensees is optimal. Provides expert guidance and input on emerging digital markets. Maintains personal network of decision makers in the digital media world to enhance BMI’s business development goals. Represents BMI at industry events. Supervisory responsibilities. Some travel required. Minimum 3-5 years experience at a digital media or entertainment company required. College degree required. MBA preferred. Supervisory experience preferred. Proven track record in building new business relationships. Demonstrated ability to close new business and generate incremental revenues within the parameters of BMI’s existing form licenses. In depth knowledge of the digital rights marketplace. Network of contacts in the digital media. Proven ability to manage existing business and maximize revenues from “house” accounts. Ability to analyze client data reports to determine trends and their potential financial impact on the inherent business. Ability to work in a team environment and inspire co-workers to provide superlative customer service. Ability to successfully manage internal relationships within the company to ensure that proper administration, billings, music use reporting and account maintenance are performed by the proper shared service departments.
Excellent interpersonal skills. Exceptional communication, written and
verbal, including public presentation skills. Strong knowledge of
sales, accounting and licensing systems. Proficient in Microsoft Word,
Excel, PowerPoint. |
