Sunnyvale, Calif. - Yahoo (NASD: YHOO) announced on Thursday a three-year video and advertising partnership with MLB Advanced Media, that will see out-of-market MLB games streamed live and on-demand on Yahoo Sports.

The deal includes more than 2,400 games over the term. Yahoo and MLBAM will jointly sell ad inventory during the first year of the deal, with Yahoo then exclusively managing online advertising sales for MLB.TV in the 2009 and 2010 seasons.

Yahoo will offer MLB.TV to fans in 11 countries, including the U.S., Canada, Mexico, U.K., Philippines and Germany.

MLB began offering live streaming video of games in 2002, and now counts more than one million subscribers at MLB.TV.

The premium version of the service costs between $89.95 and $119.95 per year.

The deal also gives Yahoo the rights to offer MLB.TV's free "FastCast" daily highlights program.
