LiveUniverse Acquires Free Home Page Service Pageflakes

Los Angeles - LiveUniverse, the online entertainment network led by Brad Greenspan, the founder of original MySpace parent company Intermix Media, has acquired free personal home page creation service Pageflakes for an undisclosed sum, TechCrunch reports.

Founded in Germany in 2006, Pageflakes is headquartered in San Francisco and has been backed by Balderton Capital.

Los Angeles-based LiveUniverse counts over 55 million monthly unique visitors across its video, social networking and music sites; the company also recently acquired video-sharing site Revver.

According to TechCrunch, Pageflakes CEO Dan Cohen, who previously headed the My Yahoo personal homepage unit at Yahoo, will continue to lead the company.
