San Jose, Calif. - MediaXstream, a provider of file transfer and file sharing services for the film and TV production industry, announced on Monday that it has acquired Secure Media Solutions, a provider of production applications for the film and TV industry.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

San Jose, Calif.-based MediaXstream currently offers its HD video networking and production services in 17 major U.S. markets.

The company said that Los Angeles-based Secure Media Solutions' assets and employees will become the core of its value-added managed services offerings for media transport solutions.
