Menlo Park,
Calif. - Cuill, a stealth-mode
start-up developing "a new approach to search," announced on Tuesday
that it has raised a $25 million second round of equity financing, led by
Madrone Capital.
The investment follows the company's $8 million first round
from Tugboat Ventures and Greylock Partners.
Menlo Park,
Calif.-based Cuill said it assembled a team that has worked on search technology at
Google, IBM, eBay, Alta Vista, Xerox PARC, the Internet Archive and Stanford University.
