Collective Intellect Gets $6.6 Million for Social Media Analytics

Boulder, Colo. - Collective Intellect, a firm that provides social media analytics, announced on Wednesday that it has landed $6.6 million in its second round of funding, led by Grotech Capital Group.

Crawley Hatfield Capital, and previous investors Appian Ventures and Croghan Investments also participated.

Founded in 2005, Colorado-based Collective Intellect said it employs advanced artificial intelligence algorithms to track, filter, rank and analyze social media content for a wide array of businesses.

The company will use the funds to expand its sales and marketing efforts.

Collective Intellect previously raised $2.6 million in February 2006.
