San Bruno, Calif. - Google's (NASD: GOOG) YouTube has paid out more than $1 million in total revenue to members of its Partner Program, which shares ad revenue with "the most popular and prolific original content creators" on the site.

The company noted the results in a blog posting announcing that the Partner Program has now been extended to popular YouTubers in Japan, Australia and Ireland.

The program was first expanded beyond the U.S. in December, to Canada and the U.K.

"To others around the world, please sit tight -- we hope to bring the program to new countries soon," the company wrote on its blog.
