New York - Viacom's (NYSE: VIA) MTV Networks said this week that it will begin offering owners of its "Rock Band" video game to download full albums compatible with the game beginning next week, to include records from Judas Priest, the Cars and the Pixies.

Pricing will be around $15 per album, or $2 per individual track.

Alex Rigopulos, CEO of Harmonix -- the MTV-owned studio that developed "Rock Band" -- told Billboard that albums will be chosen based on a combination of suggestions from gamers, labels and its own employees.

The company had already sold 8 million single tracks for the game as of this week.
