News Video Web Syndicator MediaScrape Gets $3.16 Million

Montreal - MediaScrape, an online broadcaster of repackaged video news from 28 global news agencies, has raised $3.16 million in a second round of venture capital financing from unnamed investors.

Montreal, Canada-based MediaScrape's service features content from the BBC, CBC, Fox News and other broadcasters in Europe, Asia and Africa.

The company also announced an agreement that will allow its users to have exclusive access to raw live video footage from over 5,000 journalists covering news around the world.

MediaScrape additionally said it named former 24/7 Real Media CTO Chris Dingle as its president and CTO.
