Six Apart Acquires Blog Consulting Firm Apperceptive

San Francisco - Six Apart, the company behind blog publishing services TypePad, Movable Type and Vox, announced on Monday that it has acquired Apperceptive, a New York-based provider of social media consulting and development services.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

In conjunction, San Francisco-based Six Apart said it will now maintain a New York office, and launch Six Apart Services and Six Apart Media, a blog design and development service and blog advertising service, respectively.

Apperceptive has helped build blog-powered communities for customers including The Washington Post, The Huffington Post, BoingBoing and Major League Baseball.
