San Francisco - BuzzLogic, a provider of social media marketing services and a social media ad network, announced on Tuesday that it has acquired Activeweave, developers of the BlogRover browser companion application.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Activeweave's BlogRovr browser plug-in, which counts 180,000 registered users, allows users to view relevant content from their favorite bloggers as they browse the Internet.

San Francisco-based BuzzLogic said the deal "adds new dimension to how its algorithms analyze online influence, enabling the company to strengthen and grow its Conversation Targeting advertising solution," which helps advertisers target blogs and other social media.
