Shanghai, China - The9, an online game operator in China, announced on Wednesday that it has made an equity investment of $38 million in Korean game developer G10 Entertainment.

The9 already operates G10's "Audition" game franchise in China, in addition to titles from other developers that include "World of Warcraft," "MU" and "FIFA Online."

"The9's equity investment in G10 will strengthen the existing partnership between the two companies and further motivate G10 to provide the best support to The9's operation of Audition 2 in mainland China," said Jun Zhu, chairman and CEO of The9.
