Consumer TV Ad Placement Service SaysMe Raises Series A

Authored by Mark Hefflinger on April 25, 2008 - 7:11am.

Los Angeles - SaysMe, a service that lets consumers create and purchase TV advertising, has raised an undisclosed sum in its first round of financing, led by Intel Capital and Prime Capital.

Also participating were actor Ashton Kutcher's Katalyst Films, Bill Apfelbaum and other angel investors.

Los Angeles-based SaysMe allows consumers to create a political or issue-based TV ad and place it by city and channel, for as little as $25 per market.

The company also pays royalties to independent producers who upload ads that other consumers then pay to have run.

The new funds will be used to expand SaysMe's service beyond politics and for continued product development.
