Grand Theft Auto IV Boosts Sony PS3 Sales According To Retailer

Foster City, Calif. – The launch of the much anticipated video Game “Grand Theft Auto IV” this week has reportedly led to an increase in sales of the Sony Playstation 3 game consoles in stores across the country. "From our position, the launch of GTA IV has been tremendous in driving traffic to our stores, as well as providing a vigorous lift in PS3 console sales over this time last week,” said Bob McKenzie, senior vice president of merchandising at the games retailer GameStop, according to Ars Technica. McKenzie also expects the xBox360 to get a boost in sales due to the launch of the videogame.
