Amazon to Offer Out-of-Print Sony BMG, EMI Albums On-Demand

Seattle - Online retail giant Amazon.com (NASD: AMZN) announced on Monday that it will begin selling out-of-print albums from major labels Sony BMG and EMI on-demand through its CreateSpace service.

Formerly out-of-print albums from artists including Henry Mancini, Joe Strummer and Cake, and Blue Note artists like Bill Stewart and Grant Green, will be manufactured on-demand and shipped when customers place an order.

In addition to Sony BMG and EMI, the Amazon CreateSpace "Disc on Demand" service also offers titles from Rhino Records, Wind-up Records, Vanguard Records and Naxos.
