New York - Hedge fund operator and S Records founder Steven Nowack plans to launch a new music discovery and delivery service at a press conference in New York tomorrow, which will be attended by the Archbishop Desmond Tutu.

"Nobel peace prize winner Desmond Tutu will launch the most powerful and ubiquitous platform for the discovery and delivery of music worldwide," reads the title of the press release for the event, which will also feature performances from artists including Naomi Streimer, Idrissa Diop, Shawn King and Mario Winans.

While the announcement was sparse on details, the venture is described as "a Web-enabled initiative with the potential to shift the power in the music industry from major record labels, media conglomerates and radio program directors toward artists and music fans.

"A new model that discovers fresh talent, fairly compensates artists and songwriters, and delivers professional music to fans worldwide in a way they've come to expect."

Wow, hey Mark, this is

Wow, hey Mark, this is pretty interesting. I had no idea that Catholic archbishops were into commercial ventures. It sure is a coup for whatever service he'll be promoting. Is this something that Tutu does often? Does the Pope do commercial deals also?
