New York
- Giant Realm, an online entertainment portal whose sites target males 18-34
and attract 4.2 million unique monthly visitors, announced on Thursday that it
has received a $2 million investment from SoftBank Capital.
The investment
rounds out the company's first round of financing; the company announced a $3.5
million investment led by Comcast Interactive Capital last month, in which the William Morris Agency
also participated.
New York-based Giant Realm publishes original content
related to games, TV, movies, music and comedy, both at GiantRealm.com and
sites in the Giant Realm Publisher Group.
The company will use the funds to expand
sales, editorial and operations staff, as well as the build out sales offices
in Los Angeles and San Francisco.
