Menlo Park, Calif. - Moblyng, a developer of mobile social media services, announced on Wednesday that it has raised $5.7 million in a first round of venture capital financing, from Mohr Davidow Ventures and Deep Fork Capital.

Menlo Park, Calif.-based Moblyng today launched a beta of its product, which allows consumers to easily send social media content such as photos, videos, slide shows and other widgets to their mobile phones.

The service works on most phones that display photos or videos, including those that do not otherwise permit Flash-based content, such as the iPhone.
