Electronic Arts Buys Assets of Hands-On Mobile Korea

Redwood City, Calif. - Video game developer and publisher Electronic Arts (NASD: ERTS) announced on Thursday that it will acquire the assets of Hands-On Mobile Korea, the Korean mobile game development unit of the U.S.-based company.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Hands-On Mobile Korea, best know for its mobile roleplaying title, "Heroes Lore," will become EA Mobile Korea and play a strategic role in EA's mobile development and publishing growth plans in Asia.

The company's U.S. parent, Hands-On Mobile, was established in 2001 and distributes mobile content to over 200 carriers in 60 countries.
