Seattle - Pelago, the developer of a mobile social networking application called Whrrl, has raised $15 million in new financing from new investors T-Mobile Venture Fund and Reliance Technology Ventures, along with previous backers DAG Ventures, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Trilogy Equity Partners and Bezos Expeditions.

Seattle-based Pelago's Whrrl offers a mobile city guide equipped with geo-location that lets users know where each other are.

The company is working on a version of its service for the iPhone, and is part of backer Kleiner Perkins' $100 million "iFund," which funds iPhone applications; it will also release versions for select Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon handsets.

The company told the Seattle P-I it will use the new funds to expand into Europe and Asia.
