Social Advertising Firm Xtract Lands $5.5 Million

Helsinki, Finland - Xtract, a Finland-based provider of mobile and online advertising technology, announced on Wednesday that it has raised $5.5 million in new financing, from Creandum and previous backer Eqvitec.

Xtract's technology creates automated consumer profiles for mobile and online advertisers, based on social interactions, behavioral and demographic data.

The company works with over 50 companies across Europe and Asia, including Nokia, T-Mobile and Vodafone.
