Alviso, Calif. - TiVo (NASD: TIVO) announced on Wednesday that it will make Disney (NYSE: DIS) movies available for download to broadband-connected TiVo digital video recorders directly through the television.

The movies will be made available later this year through an agreement between Disney-ABC and CinemaNow, an online movie download service that has a DVR download deal with TiVo.

TiVo offers more than 30,000 video titles for download to its set-tops over a broadband connection, from partners including Amazon Unbox, Music Choice and some 50 others.

Separately, TiVo said on Wednesday that it will deliver the recommendations of Chicago Tribune TV critic Maureen Ryan directly to subscribers' set-tops, which will then automatically record the recommended programs.
