Stratham, N.H. - Laser Light Engines, a company that says it is developing "an innovative digital light source to upgrade the future cinema experience," has landed a $5 million first round of financing, PEHub.com reported, citing a regulatory filing.

The company's backers include Braemar Energy Ventures and Harris & Harris Group.

The firm is headed by CEO William B. Beck and COO Ian Turner, and is currently hiring, for positions including laser and optical engineers.
