Copenhagen, Denmark - Zmags, a provider of digital publishing software, said on Thursday that it has raised $4.2 million in its second round of venture capital financing, led by OpenView Venture Partners.

Copenhagen-based Zmags offers a Web-based publishing platform allows users to easily create interactive digital magazines, catalogues, and books.

The firm currently counts more than 1200 customers in over 20 countries, including Volkswagen, Microsoft and IKEA.

Zmags previously raised $2.6 million from NorthCap Partners, and plans to use the new funds to expand sales and marketing efforts in the U.S., and to accelerate research and development.
