Mobile Discovery, an innovator in the world of mobile marketing, seeks an outstanding director of marketing to direct the development of market requirements and product strategy, lead corporate communications and public relations, and conduct market research and monitor competitive activity.

The position is a key member of the senior team. Requirements: Minimum 5 years business development or sales experience in advertising or new media industries. B.A. or B.S. degree. Advanced degree or MBA is a plus. Early-stage company experience is desirable.

Ability to understand the customer’s business and technical requirements; understand MD’s products, features and architecture. Self starter able to work without constant supervision. Ability to sell ideas and build consensus internally and externally. Demonstrated ability to meet or beat assigned targets and deadlines consistently. Excellent written and oral communication skills. High energy, creativity, resourcefulness and entrepreneurial spirit. Strong ability to convey technical information to non-technical customers. Ability to do product demonstrations. Review and edit existing promotional materials for marketing effectiveness, cross-selling implications and adherence to brand guidelines. Coordinate communications projects with vendors and contractors for the development and production of educational event promotional materials, web site production and other collateral. Provide writing and editing support for all outbound member communication including all promotional materials, website content - Marketing and PR portions of the website.
