San Francisco - Zannel, the provider of a mobile multimedia messaging service, announced on Monday that it has raised $10 million in its second round of funding, led by Alloy Ventures.

Previous investors U.S. Venture Partners and Palomar Ventures also participated in the round, which the company will use to accelerate expansion of its platform.

The mobile social networking service allows users to publish text, pictures and video messages to groups of friends.

San Francisco-based Zannel says its platform attracts "millions" of visitors per month, and counts partnerships with media and consumer brands including Warner Bros., Universal Pictures, Capitol Records, Activision and Toyota.
