Los Angeles
- Microsoft's (NASD: MSFT) MSN has signed a deal with production company BermanBraun to
create an entertainment news-focused destination site within MSN, set to launch
in early 2009.
BermanBraun was founded last March by former Paramount Pictures
executive Gail Berman and Lloyd Braun, a former top executive at Disney-ABC (NYSE: DIS) and
Yahoo (NASD: YHOO).
BermanBraun will help program the site as well as sell advertising in
partnership with MSN, an executive briefed on the plans told The New York
Times.
All Things D reports that BermanBraun has also made a small deal with
Braun's former employer, Yahoo, to create a daily project called "Lunacy
Report" that will focus on "weird news."
