New York - Recently retired U.S. Supreme Court justice Sandra Day O'Connor has announced her support for a new video game called "Our Courts," an online interactive civics program designed for children in grades 7 through 9, Reuters reported.

O'Connor said she got involved in the project to help educate kids on civic matters in the wake of recent partisan attacks on judges.

"In recent years I've become increasingly concerned about vitriolic attacks by some members of Congress, some members of state legislatures and various private interest groups ... on judges," O'Connor told the Games For Change conference, according to Reuters.

"We hear a great deal about judges who are activists -- godless, secular, humanists trying to impose their will on the rest of us. Now I always thought an activist judge was one who got up in the morning and went to work."

The website for the game is expected to have some material online by September and launch a year later.
