Hands-On Mobile recently announced that Guitar Hero III Mobile, which they publish through a licence from Activision (NASD: ATVI), has been downloaded a million times. It's a milestone for the mobile gaming industry and possibly a sign that mobile games are about to really take off as a mass market phenomenon. DMW's Jay Baage caught up with Hands-On Mobile's Scott Scherer at the recent LA Games Conference and they spoke about the success of Guitar Hero III Mobile, the current challenges for mobile gaming to really take off and the potential of Apple's (NASD: AAPL) iPhone as a new mobile gaming platform. In case you haven't played it, embedded below is a trailer of the GH III game for mobile, which gives you an idea of what it's like.
