New York - The Talk Market, a new user-generated TV shopping channel, announced on Monday that it has received an equity investment from online retail giant Amazon.com (NASD: AMZN).

Financial details of the deal, which closed in May, were not disclosed.

New York-based The Talk Market allows anyone to upload a presentation showcasing something they want to sell, and enhance their videos with the company's online production tools, such as dynamic graphic overlays and soundtracks.

Meanwhile, customers can create their own personalized shopping channel and click on videos to make purchases.

"The Talk Market is a user-generated TV shopping platform that allows businesses to create broadcast-quality product presentations and gives consumers an entertaining shopping experience," said Jeff Blackburn, SVP of business development at Amazon.com.

"We're excited by the early progress and pleased to support their efforts."
