Social Media Widget Developer RockYou Gets $35 Million

San Mateo, Calif. - Social media applications developer RockYou announced on Monday that it has raised $35 million in a third round of venture capital financing, led by DCM.

Several unnamed private investors also participated in the round, which the company will use to grow its team, increase its advertising and publisher offerings, and expand its portfolio of social applications.

San Mateo, Calif.-based RockYou's applications include Vampires, SuperWall and Likeness on Facebook.

The company says its network reaches 87.5 million monthly unique users with 2.7 billion page views.

In addition to Facebook, the company also develops for the OpenSocial platform, and counts over 10 million installs of its applications across MySpace, Hi5 and Orkut.
