Los Angeles - With a $1 billion copyright lawsuit against YouTube (NASD: GOOG) still pending, Viacom (NYSE: VIA) has struck a deal to offer two of its Comedy Central network's most popular programs for free streaming on Hulu, the advertising-supported video service joint venture between News Corp. (NYSE: NWS) and NBC Universal (NYSE: GE).

Full episodes of "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" and "The Colbert Report" are now available on Hulu, although Viacom has apparently not signed a wider deal to place other programs on the service.

The shows were made available on ComedyCentral.com after Viacom ordered all of its programming taken down from YouTube and filed its copyright infringement lawsuit against the company in March 2007.

Hulu also plans to add programming from PBS later this month, to include episodes of "Nova," "Wired Science" and "Carrier."
