Los Angeles - Capzles has announced that it has raised an undisclosed sum in first round funding from unnamed investors, and launched its "social storytelling" network.

The Los Angeles-based company was founded in 2007, and has been in private beta since debuting at the DEMO 08 conference in January.

Capzles says its service allows users "to tell their stories through combining images, video, audio/music and text/blogs in a compelling, customizable, high-style interface, and see those stories laid out visually on a map of time according to when they actually happened."

The company said more details on its Series A funding round will be provided in the coming weeks.
