Answers Corp. Secures up to $13 Million from Redpoint Ventures

New York - Answers Corporation, the company behind reference sites Answers.com and WikiAnswers.com, announced on Tuesday that it has secured up to $13 million through a private placement of shares and warrants with venture capital firm Redpoint Ventures.

New York-based Answers Corp.'s Answers.com includes content on 5 million topics from over 180 licensed sources, including Encyclopedia Britannica and Wikipedia.

The company's WikiAnswers.com, which recently passed its three millionth question, counted over 11 million unique U.S. visitors in May, according to comScore.
