New York - Glam Media, an online publishing network for women that counts 42 million unique U.S. visitors, announced on Tuesday that it has acquired U.K.-based online media sales firm Monetise.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The three-year-old company counts Flixster.com, TVGuide.co.uk and ArtistDirect.com among its customers.

Glam Media said that Monetise publishers will become the flagship sites of its UK Entertainment vertical.

Monetise co-founder and CEO Joel Cymberg will become Glam's publisher management and operations director, while the company's other co-founder, Jon Walsh, will become Glam's entertainment sales director.

Glam raised over $80 million in financing earlier this year, a large chunk of which it said would be used for international expansion.
