New York - BlogTalkRadio, the provider of a service that lets anyone host a live radio talk show over the Internet, has raised $4.6 million in a new round of financing led by The Kraft Group, The New York Times' Bits Blog reported.

Founded in 2006, New Jersey-based BlogTalkRadio claimed 3 million listeners to the more than 12,000 radio segments it broadcast during May.

Notable guests heard on the service's various user-created programs have included Senators Obama, Clinton and McCain, and Brad Pitt.

Revenue from ads placed against talk radio programming is shared between the company and show producers.

The company plans to use the funds to expand the services it offers to corporations such as Intel and Sun, as well as to add the ability to broadcast live video.
