Los Angeles - SodaHead, an online community that features group discussions on a range of topics, announced on Wednesday that it has raised $8.4 million in its second round of venture capital financing, led by Mission Ventures.

Previous investor Mohr Davidow Ventures also participated in the round, proceeds from which will fund new hires and marketing initiatives.

Launched in September 2007, Los Angeles-based SodaHead now claims over 600,000 members, who have contributed 3 million answers to questions and over 4 million comments on topics including politics, pop culture, music, relationships, sports and health.
