Mountain View, Calif. - Completing a nearly year-long search, Google (NASD: GOOG) has named Bell Canada executive Patrick Pichette to become its new senior vice president and CFO.

Pichette, who will start on August 1 and become CFO on August 12. replaces George Reyes, who announced his plans to retire last August before officially stepping down in December.

Most recently, Pichette served as the president of operations at Bell Canada, a company he joined in in 2001 as an executive vice president.
