Austrian Mobile Game Developer Xendex Lands $3.6 Million

Vienna, Austria - Xendex, an Austria-based developer of mobile games, announced that it has raised a $3.6 million first round of financing led by Pontis Venture Partners.

A group of business angels, including the former founders of 3United, also participated.

Founded in January 2001, Xendex has developed a portfolio of over 45 games, including the "FMX" motocross series, which has sold over 2 million units to date.

The company also provides content services such as quality assurance, game distribution and portfolio- and portal management for mobile service providers and independent game portals.
