Berlin - GameDuell, an online skill games community in Germany that claims over 10 million members, announced that it has received a $17 million investment from Wellington Partners.

Berlin-based GameDuell operates a suite of online skill games that includes Solitaire, Mahjong and Sudoku.

The company counts more than 200 media partnerships, and claims to be Germany's third-largest online advertiser.

The new funds will be used to accelerate GameDuell's expansion into other European countries and the U.S., as well as to double its 80-member workforce in the coming months.
