Cupertino, Calif. - Mobixell Networks, a provider of mobile multimedia and advertising services, announced on Tuesday that it has raised $6 million in new funding from existing investors Apax, Intel Capital and smac partners.

Founded in 2000, Cupertino, Calif.-based Mobixell provides tailored services to over 250 mobile operators and content providers, including multimedia processing and adaptation, and multi-channel mobile advertising.

The company will use the funds to expand development and marketing of its mobile multimedia, mobile TV and advertising services.
