Mountain View, Calif. - Graspr, an online instructional video network, announced on Thursday that it has landed a $2.5 million first round of funding, from Draper Fisher Jurvetson and angel investors.

Launched in September 2007, Mountain View, Calif.-based Graspr currently counts over 20,000 instructional videos.

The network also includes a syndication platform, online video editing tools, and an affiliate network that rewards referrals from producers and publishers within the Graspr network with a share in revenues generated around the video content they feature or produce.

The company said that advertising revenue generated from videos will be shared between the uploader, the embedder, Graspr, and the Graspr member who may have referred the uploader or embedder.
