San Francisco - Future US, a publisher of targeted magazines and websites dealing with video games, action sports, technology and other topics, said on Tuesday that it has acquired BallHype, a developer of technology that aggregates and clusters news and video content around a defined theme.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded in 2007 by Jason Gurney and Erin Gurney, BallHype owns ballhype.com and showhype.com, which together draw nearly 2 million visitors a month.

The sites feature mainstream American sports and entertainment gossip content, respectively.
