El Segundo, Calif. - OGPlanet, a publisher of multiplayer online games, announced on Wednesday that it has received an undisclosed sum of new funding from DFJ Athena, which the company said will be used for continued growth.

Founded in 2005, El Segundo, Calif.-based OGPlanet licenses online games from Korea, such as "Cabal Online," "Rumble Fighter" and "Albatross18," and markets them in the U.S.

The games are free-to-play, but offer in-game virtual item purchasing opportunities.

OGPlanet said it expects the new funds to last until it reaches profitability.
