Hacker Group Claims "Jailbreak" of iPhone 3G

San Francisco - A hacker group called the "iPhone Dev Team" has announced the release of software it says can "jailbreak" Apple's new iPhone 3G so that any third-party application may run on the device, CNET reported. The Pwnage 2.0 software reportedly does not "unlock" the iPhone 3G so it can run on rival networks, although CNET reports that a Brazilian blog brought to light a SIM card adapter that can trick the iPhone into thinking it is running on an approved network.
