- Raindance.TV, a site that distributes independent features, shorts and
documentaries online, has raised just under $1 million in its first financing,
and plans to launch its own streaming website in the fall, Variety reports.
Details
on investors were not provided.
The London-based, ten-month-old company has so
far distributed some 30 feature films and 200 shorts across sites including
Dailymotion, Joost and Babelgum.
The site grew out of the Raindance film
festival and British Independent Film Awards (BIFA).
