New York - ContextWeb, the provider of a contextual online advertising exchange, announced on Tuesday that it has closed a $26 million fourth round of funding, led by Investor Growth Capital.

Previous investors DFJ, DFJ Gotham Ventures, Updata Partners, DFJ New England and Gold Hill Capital also participated.

Founded in 2000, New York-based ContextWeb launched its ADSDAQ Exchange in 2005, an online ad marketplace that now includes more than 400 advertisers and 7,000 publishers.

The exchange reaches over 100 million monthly unique visitors, according to comScore Media Metrix.

ContextWeb will use the new funds for expansion into foreign markets, such as Europe, and for further product development.
