Los Angeles - BlueCollarOrDie, a spin-off comedy site of Will Ferrell-backed FunnyOrDie, has been shut down due to lack of Web traffic, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Launched in November, the site, which featured comedians including Jeff Foxworthy, Larry the Cable Guy and Bill Engvall, was backed by Creative Artists Agency as well as two law firms -- one of which represented the comedians involved.

"Ultimately, the Blue Collar audience wasn't what it was on other platforms," Larry Lyttle, former president of Big Ticket Television and a principal of BlueCollarOrDie, told THR.

"So rather than chase bad money after good money, we decided to stop."

Lyttle added that a "seven-figure sum" had been spent on the site, which employed 15 people, and before it was shuttered was drawing just 60,000 to 80,000 monthly unique visitors.

FunnyOrDie parent company Or Die Networks has to date raised $15 million in funding, and recently also sold a minority stake to Time Warner's HBO.

The company also operates ShredOrDie, PwnOrDie and EatDrinkOrDie.
